Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Mellie Cam is provided by MelvinOz, the Netherlands (“we”, “us”). Contact: info@melvinoz.com. These terms apply to the Mellie Cam app for LG webOS TV, the license and the website melliecam.melvinoz.com.

2. The app

Mellie Cam shows live images from Reolink recorders, Home Hubs and cameras on your local network on an LG TV running webOS 5.0 or later. The app does not record, store or share video. You need a compatible Reolink device with HTTP or HTTPS enabled. Reolink devices differ per model and firmware, so we cannot guarantee that every device or stream works. The free trial and the demo mode let you check this before you pay.

3. Trial and license

Every TV can use Mellie Cam free of charge for 3 days, once. The trial starts when the app first contacts our license service.
After the trial, a one-time payment of €10 (including VAT) gives you a perpetual, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use Mellie Cam on that one TV. There is no subscription.
The license is bound to the device identifier of the TV. It cannot be moved to another TV; contact us if you replace a defective TV and we will try to help.
The license includes the updates we release. If we ever stop the license service, we will make reasonable efforts to release an update that keeps purchased licenses working.

4. Payment

You pay by scanning the QR code on the TV and completing the payment on your phone via Stripe. Prices include VAT. Depending on your country, Stripe may sell the license to you as reseller (merchant of record); in that case the customer terms shown at checkout also apply. The license is activated automatically once the payment is confirmed.

5. Refunds and right of withdrawal

We want you to be happy with Mellie Cam. Whatever the statutory rules, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase by e-mailing info@melvinoz.com with the Device ID (Settings → About). After the refund the license on that TV is deactivated. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

6. Acceptable use

Only connect cameras and recorders that you own or are authorised to view.
Respect the privacy of others and the camera surveillance rules in your country (for example, do not film public roads or neighbours' property without a legal basis).
Do not attempt to bypass, manipulate or reverse engineer the trial or license check.

7. No security guarantee

Mellie Cam is a viewer, not an alarm, recording or security system. Live images can be delayed, of lower quality or unavailable, for example because of network problems, recorder settings or TV limitations. Do not rely on the app for safety or to detect incidents.

8. Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license, and we are not liable for indirect damage, missed events, data loss or damage to equipment. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

9. Trademarks

Mellie Cam is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Reolink or LG Electronics. Reolink, LG and webOS are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

10. Privacy

11. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The current version is always available at melliecam.melvinoz.com/terms. Changes do not affect licenses that have already been purchased to your disadvantage.

12. Applicable law

Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a dispute before the court of your place of residence. We prefer to solve problems together: please contact us first.
